Reading Group Application

You must apply if you are interested in participating in any reading groups. Because reading groups have limited space, we will select students based on their applications. We will do our best to accommodate everyone.

In your application, you should only select a reading group if you are 100% sure you that you meet the eligibility criteria (see prerequisites on Reading Groups page) and will attend if selected. We also ask you to rank your interest in each reading group in case we do not have space to admit you for multiple reading groups.

We will try our best to group girls with similar mathematical background in the same reading group. This is why it is really important to help us understand your math background in your answers to the application questions.

The student and parent/guardian emails you provide in the registration form will both receive reading materials, Zoom links, and other information regarding the reading groups. Please make sure that these are valid emails.

If you are interested in participating in a reading group, you are required to attend the live Zoom session for that week. Please be sure to sign up for any such live sessions using the live session registration form in addition to completing the reading group application.

You must fill out the form with your parent/guardian. We require both student and parent/guardian digital signatures on the application form.

The first application deadline for the 2021 Reading Groups is Saturday 06/12/21 at 8:59 PM PDT/ 11:59 PM EST. All applications received by this deadline will receive the same consideration. After this date, we will continue to accept applications and admissions will be made on a rolling basis until the final registration deadline of Sunday 06/20/21 at 8:59 PM PDT/ 11:59 PM EST.
